Website design on WordPress should be a must – but why? As an award winning website design business, we have been using WordPress for many years to develop websites, and we are big fans. As far as content management systems go, it’s pretty powerful, and intuitive to use.
There are of course other website design platforms around, but here are some of the reasons we continue to use it.
Flexible
Whatever your website requirements are, WordPress’ flexibility make it a great option. Whether you need e-commerce (using the fantastic WooCommerce plugin), a booking system, a portfolio or even your own social media style platform, we haven’t found many limits to what can be done with it.
Intuitive
Once we have completed the development of a site, it only takes a fairly short training system for our clients to get to grips with learning the basics, from updating pages to creating menus, managing orders or listing new products.
Documentation
Being an Open Source platform, there is a lot of documentation out there, with websites and communities dedicated to providing tips, tutorials, how to guides and insider knowledge on working with WordPress. If you are stuck, chances are the answers can easily be found!
Don’t reinvent the wheel
WordPress provides a great starting point for all sorts of projects, and a solid content management system to take businesses forward. Why ensure website design on WordPress is your priority? Well, don’t over-invest on having a bespoke website content management system or e-commerce platform built when a great one already exists!
Great for beginners or experts
If you want to build a site on your own due to limited or no budget, you can buy an off the shelf template and build it yourself. If you want something completely bespoke, more professional and built by experts, hire a website design business (like Red Sentence!) to create a unique design and develop a custom theme just for you.
